Ronumi privacy policy

Ronumi is developed by agneswd. This policy covers the Google Play version and the APK from GitHub. Contact: [email protected].

Data on your device

Ronumi does not require an account. It has no analytics SDK. The GitHub APK has no ads. The Google Play version shows ads from Google unless Ronumi Plus is unlocked. See "Ads in the Google Play version". We do not operate an app server. We do not sell your data.

Ronumi stores settings, chosen apps and websites, schedules, focus sessions, task names, notes, and progress on your device. With usage access, it reads app usage and phone unlock events. It keeps daily totals for screen-time reports and limits. It reads app names and icons so you can choose apps to block or exclude.

With accessibility access, Ronumi reads the foreground app and relevant text and controls on its screen. This can include browser addresses, video titles, channel names, and system settings text. It uses this information to apply your blocking rules. It can cover content, pause playback, and navigate away from blocked content. It can also close a picture-in-picture video window during a video block. Returning from a website block can replace the page with a blank page in the same tab. Ronumi does not upload this screen information. It does not build a browsing-history report. Local diagnostic logs can contain the reason for a block, including a blocked domain. Ronumi does not upload these logs.

With notification access, Ronumi saves the app name, notification identifier, title, text, and time from selected app notifications. It removes those notifications from the notification drawer after saving them in your inbox. This works during focus and schedules, or at all times if you choose that setting. Notification text can contain private messages. It stays on your device until you clear it or remove app data.

Android controls these permissions. You can turn them off in Android Settings. Features that need the permission then stop working.

Backups and deletion

Automatic Android backup is disabled. You can export a password-protected backup to a location you choose. The backup includes settings and history. It excludes held message text, active sessions, and temporary passes. Ronumi does not save your backup password and cannot recover it. If you choose cloud storage in Android's file picker, that provider handles the exported file under its own policy.

Your local records remain until you delete them or remove app data. Clear the notification inbox to remove held messages. Use Android's Clear storage control or uninstall Ronumi to remove its private data. Delete exported backup files separately, including copies in cloud storage. Removing Ronumi does not delete Google purchase records or files you exported.

Google Play purchases

The Google Play version offers an optional one-time Ronumi Plus purchase. Google Play processes payments, keeps transaction records, and supplies purchase status to the app. Ronumi exchanges purchase information with Google Play to complete, acknowledge, check, and restore Plus. This can include the product identifier, purchase token, order identifier, purchase time, and purchase state. Ronumi uses the result to enable Plus. We do not receive your card number or bank details through the app. The owner can use Play Console transaction records to handle purchase support and refunds.

Google handles its purchase data under the Google Privacy Policy. See Google Play order and purchase help. Google controls retention of its payment records. Uninstalling the app does not erase them.

The Play version has no GitHub updater. Ronumi code makes no network requests of its own. The Google Play Billing Library in the Play version can send purchase diagnostics to Google. Google Play uses its own connection to process purchases and deliver app updates.

Ads in the Google Play version

Without Plus, the Google Play version shows ads from Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). It never shows ads during a focus session, during setup, or in the first three days after install. After a session summary, it can show at most three full-screen ads a day. You can also choose to watch a short ad for XP, at most three times a day. Ronumi Plus removes all ads.

To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares data with Google. This can include the device advertising ID, IP address, approximate location from the IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google handles this data under the Google Privacy Policy and explains it in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Ronumi does not send your focus history, blocked apps, websites, notifications, or notes to Google for ads.

Where the law requires it, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Ronumi asks for your consent with Google's consent form before it requests ads. If you do not consent, Google can still show ads that are not personalized. You can change your choice later in Settings with "Ad privacy choices". You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings.

GitHub updates

The GitHub APK includes every feature for free. It does not use Google Play Billing. It can check GitHub for a new release about once a day. A download starts only when you choose it. The check does not include settings, focus history, or held messages. If GitHub has no public release, Settings says that you have the latest release.

Support and changes

If you contact the owner, your email provider sends your address and the information you include. The owner uses that information to answer you and resolve the issue. Do not send private notifications, passwords, or backups in a support request. Public GitHub issues are visible to others.

Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or to request removal of support correspondence. The owner cannot remotely read or delete records stored only on your device. The owner may retain transaction or support records when needed to resolve a dispute or meet legal obligations.

We will update this page when these practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
